ATTENTION!!! Important UCC Forms Notice, Effective July 1, 2013
Kentucky has adopted new Uniform Commercial Code forms that go into effect on July 1, 2013. This office will accept previously prescribed forms during a grace period beginning July 1, 2013, through July 31, 2013. Beginning August 1, 2013, all previously prescribed forms will be rejected. ​The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) division of the Secretary of State’s office serves as the state repository for financing statements regarding security interests under Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 355, Revised Article 9. Financing statements are filed by banks, mortgage companies and other lending institutions against secured collateral of individuals and other entities located within the state.

Through this website, you can file most types of simple UCC-1 and UCC-3 filings, obtain standardized forms, search for UCC filings, check the status of your prepaid account and subscribe to the Secretary of State’s bulk data service. You can also research pertinent fees and statutes.
